About Calculation/Indicator SmartColumns

"Indicator symbols" automatically appear in a column based upon user-defined conditions.  For example, the stoplight chart below uses indicator symbols to report project status by displaying red, green, and yellow circles next to each task.

The color of the indicator is based on the result of the Budget-Cost calculation that the Calculation/Indicator SmartColumn is performing:

In addition to indicator symbols, a color can fill the column cell and text or coloring can appear with the indicator symbol—all according to conditions defined by the user.
