| How to obtain and activate your Mobile
License. (Be sure that this procedure is done from your
fully
installed and activated Milestones Professional system). |

Purchase
a Mobile License plugin from KIDASA Software, Inc.
Order Now!

Once
you receive your Mobile License Plugin Key, open your fully
installed and activated Milestones Professional software.

In version 2008,
choose the Help tab. In the
Keys and Information section choose Enter Plugin Key. The
Manage Plugins dialog box will appear. (In version
2006, choose About Milestones Professional and press the
Plugins button).

In the Enter Plugin Code
field:
enter the Mobile License Plugin Key you received from KIDASA.
Press Apply. The Manage Plugins dialog box will
now display Create Mobile License under
Active Plugins:. Now you have the ability to create a Mobile
copy of Milestones Professional for your use while travelling and
have it active for 45 day periods at a time.

Insert a USB drive with at least 175
MB of free space. Depending on your version, follow the
instructions below. Then proceed to step 6.
Version 2006 Users
- Choose the Help menu.
- Choose About Milestones Professional.
- Choose the Program Key button.
- Press the Mobile License button.
- Proceed to Step 6.

Version 2008 Users

Choose the Help tab
-
In the Keys and Information
section choose Enter Program Key, Serial number, Name... this
brings up the Registration box.

Click the Create or Renew
Mobile License Key button.

Proceed to Step 6.

Click the button and the Create Mobile Milestones License
dialog box appears.

If
you are creating a key for the first time on a new USB drive, choose
Create 45 day Mobile
License.

If you are updating your mobile license choose
Update
45 day Mobile License button.

The Browse for Folder dialog box appears. Choose your USB Drive.
Milestones will be copied to your USB Drive. Now, whenever you run
Milestones from that drive, the mobile license will be recognized.
NOTE:
-
It's important NOT to create the folder on the hard drive, since all
the files are added at the root of the drive, making it difficult to
know what to copy. It is always best to create directly on the flash
drive.

Milestones must be able to access the
Internet in order
to create a mobile license. If any firewall is present that prevents
Milestones from gaining access, the operation will fail.

The Mobile License will allow you to
use all of Milestones Professional's scheduling functionality.
To use Milestones Professional's interface to Microsoft Project and
Microsoft PowerPoint, you will need someone with Admin access on the
computer on which you plan to be a guest. This person will need to
execute the Rereg.exe program located in the Milestones Professional
System folder before you can access this functionality. (In
version 2008, choose Files and Automation on the Tools
menu. Then, press the Run Rereg.exe....button in the
dialog box.)
