Milestones Professional offers a myriad
of color themes already built-in to the program just waiting for your
discerning eye. But what should you do when a creative colleague sends
you a schedule with a range of colors you love but haven't seen in our
extensive library? Or what if you come across a website with colors
that seem professional and still have a vibrant kick that catches your
eye? As we couldn't capture every possible color theme in one program,
we've given you a way to create and save your own (or your colleague's).
In this article, you'll find instructions to manage color themes as well
as three new themes we've created for the summer season.
How to Create and save a color theme from an existing schedule.
1
Open the existing schedule.
Review all the following areas of the schedule for appropriate
color and shading effects.
task lines background
chart title
columns
column headings
legend
toolbox symbol and connector colors
outline level shading
text formatting
gridlines
2
On the toolbar choose the Format tab.
3
In the Color Theme section choose
Manage Color Themes.
4
In the Manage Color Themes dialog box enter a name for your
color theme.
5
Choose the Save Theme button.
6
Choose Close. The color theme you created will now be located
on the Format tab, in the Color Themes section, under All Themes.
New Color Themes
We've created some new seasonal color themes that you may like to
add to your Color Theme library. To access these color themes, first
download the schedule. Then tweak and save the theme using the above
instructions.
