Present Projects Clearly by using Consistent Symbology
Do you sometimes
spend the first ten minutes of your project
presentation explaining the symbology on your
project schedule? Does a red inverted triangle
mean "Task Finish" for your group, and "Critical
Event" for another group? It might be time for
implementing some standard symbology within your
organization.
Having simple symbology

Build a "Free-Form"
Presentation Schedule for MS Project
Do you have a
presentation milestone chart you build regularly
with dates from MS Project? Would you like to
design it yourself instead of using one of the
standard wizard choices?
It's possible to build the
schedule "free-form". Schedules like the
one on the left can be built by "tagging"
symbols with the MS Project unique ID, followed
by the name of the date field and the name of
the field to be used for symbol text.

If you have recently acquired
a new computer, chances are you have
Microsoft's new Windows Vista operating
system. Your Milestones software will work

versions 2006 and prior, under Windows Vista
it may be necessary to take an extra step
when entering registration information such
as Serial Numbers and Program Keys. Since
this information is stored in a common area
of the computer’s registry, it is necessary
that the program updating this information
be run at an elevated level.
